Case Study – Welwyn and Hatfield Borough Council

In April 2015 Brasier Freeth signed a two-year contract to value Welwyn and Hatfield Borough Council’s residential properties under the Right to Buy scheme.

Under the scheme, council tenants have the option of being able to purchase their council home. Once a tenant has expressed an interest in the scheme to the council our role is to undertake a valuation and advise the Council of the market value of the property.

As the sole contractor it is estimated that the Team will carry out valuations of around 400 properties for Welwyn and Hatfield over the next two years.

Whilst our commercial property advice is renowned locally this contract demonstrates just one of the many services we can offer to the local residential market.
