Case Study – Travelodge
Travelodge is the largest hotel brand within London, but has further requirements throughout all of the London Boroughs for at least 60 more hotels. Its recent £57 million refurbishment programme and very positive trading performance underpin the company’s ambitious expansion plans. Brasier Freeth is the outsourced development manager for Travelodge across North West London.
Recent successes include the conversion and rear extension of Denmark House in West Hendon. The converted offices will be transformed into a three-storey new look Travelodge with 128 bedrooms, a bar café and 105 car parking spaces. Located just off Staples Corner, the Travelodge is adjacent to Brent Cross shopping centre and an ideal site for hoteliers. This development is expected to be completed in Q4 2017.
Almost simultaneously, works are also underway on the site of the former Temple House office building in Harrow. A new 102 bedroom hotel and bar café, adjacent to Debenhams in the Town Centre and also projected to open in late 2017. Tony O’Brien from Travelodge said “Travelodge is delighted that work has started on two new hotels in Harrow and Hendon. At both locations there is a need for good quality, great value hotel accommodation and the new Travelodge’s will provide this for both business and leisure visitors. Brasier Freeth’s efforts to identify the opportunities and agree terms on our behalf was invaluable”.
