At a time when many firms are winding down for the Christmas festivities our Building Surveying Team are busy travelling the length and breadth of the UK following a successful tender to work for national charity Scope.
Scope provides support, information and advice to more than a quarter of a million disabled people and their families every year. The charity has over 230 shops across England and Wales.
Over the course of the next two months Brasier Freeth has been appointed to survey each of these properties to assess their condition, establish priorities for repair and then monitor any Capital Expenditure works undertaken by Scope’s appointed contractor.
In addition to the shops the Team will also be surveying 38 care homes, respite centres, day centres, schools and offices.
Commenting on the successful tender, Paul Raitt, Principal and Head of the Building Surveying Team said, “Brasier Freeth is delighted to be working with Scope. They are a fantastic charity doing great work across the country. We have a large number of properties to survey in a relatively short timeframe but we have every confidence that the Team will deliver.”
During the tender process it became apparent that Scope were looking for a firm with a multi-disciplined offering that will be able to advise on all property matters. Once the surveys are completed the Team hope that Brasier Freeth will be retained to assist them over a longer term, not only with their Building Surveying work but also their retail acquisitions and disposals, property management, valuations and professional work.
