Brasier Freeth was instructed by Compass Group UK & Ireland Ltd, the market leader in providing contract catering and support services, to explore the possibility of reducing their exposure to business rates in relation to the 2005 Revaluation.
In 2005 Tesco needed to find new sites in the Northern Home Counties for their Express format stores, and they approached Brasier Harris, now Brasier Freeth LLP to help them. The brief was to consider many property types; there were many locations that would suit the brand, from existing shop premises within secondary parades and local centres to development sites for stand alone stores occupying main roadside positions.
The retail team at Brasier Freeth LLP have acted for Clintons for over 20 years. The lead retail partner Russell Jerrard first met Clintons in 1984 when they had circa 10 stores located in towns around Essex, which is where their head office can still be found. Clintons acquired Birthdays in 2005, and now have 1,100 shops nationwide and a turnover in excess of £500 million.
