Brasier Freeth was recently instructed to design, specify, procure and manage the refurbishment of the Operations Welfare Areas (washroom and toilet facilities) for Arriva at Enfield Bus Garage. The facilities had become dilapidated in part due to a lack of maintenance with several WC’s out of use.

The Building Surveying team worked to the brief of creating a better toilet environment for staff using durable products and materials, as the toilets are heavily utilised by staff and visitors.

A large part of the work included the upgrading and renewal of the existing services (lighting, ventilation, extract, water, heating and drainage), as these fell short of current standards and requirements.

The total cost of the project was £100,000 which came in under budget and was completed on time in 8 weeks recently opening to the satisfaction of the client and their staff.
